What is TokenPocket Cloud Wallet
TokenPocket Cloud wallet is a convenient way for you to store cryptocurrency and make transactions (send/receive cryptos) on the TokenPocket app.
Unlike the non-custodial (decentralized) TokenPocket wallet, the cloud wallet allows you to manage your funds very quickly without the burden of securing your private keys. There is also no risk of losing funds due to misplaced private keys as the funds are securely held by TokenPocket. You can always recover your funds with your registered email address or phone number.
1. How to Register
Registering on the TokenPocket cloud wallet is very simple and can be done in a matter of seconds. All you need is an email address or phone number.
Step 1: Download the TokenPocket app from the play store or app store. The desktop version is also available for MAC and PC users on the TokenPocket website.
Step 2: Click on the cloud wallet icon.
Step 3: Register with a valid email address or phone number.
Step 4: A code will be sent to your email address for verification. Use the code to complete your registration.
1.1 Setup Account Security and Complete the KYC Requirements (Real Name)
After registration, the next thing you want to do is to secure your account by doing the following:
- Update your phone number.
- Set up a 2-factor authenticator.
- Set up a fund password: This is an extra password which would be required whenever you want to withdraw from your account.
- Complete your KYC: Click on “real name” to complete your KYC. This is an important step to do because if you don’t complete it, you will not be able to withdraw from the cloud wallet.
2. How to Deposit
There are two ways to deposit funds to the cloud wallet namely: deposit with wallet and deposit the other way.
2.1 Deposit with wallet
This method allows you to deposit funds using the decentralized/non-custodial wallet. To be able to use this method, you must have an existing decentralized wallet in the app. If you don’t you can simply import your wallet to the TokenPocket app using your private keys.
To deposit funds from your decentralized wallet to TokenPocket wallet, use the following step:
Step 1: Click on ‘Receive’.
Step 2: Select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit.
Step 3: Input the amount.
Step 4: Click on deposit.
Step 5: Confirm the transition and enter your password.
2.2 Deposit the other way
With this method, you can deposit cryptocurrency to the cloud wallet from sources other than the TokenPocket app. This includes exchanges and other wallets.
To deposit using this method, you have to send cryptocurrency from other sources to “deposit1.tp” while using a specific memo that would be made available to you. For example, ‘284531208497397764:wallet’.
3. How to Withdraw
Withdrawing from the TokenPocket cloud wallet is as simple as depositing provided that you have completed the KYC.
You can withdraw using the following steps:
Step 1: Click on ‘Transfer’.
Step 2: Input the name of the receiver.
Step 3: Input the amount.
Step 4: Input your desired memo. If you don’t wish to use a memo, then toggle the memo icon to turn it off.
Step 5: You’ll be required to enter your fund password.
Step 6: You’ll also be required to enter a one time password from your authenticator app and also one which will be sent to your phone.
4. Supported Cryptocurrencies
The supported cryptos in the cloud wallet include the following: USDT, EOS, BTC, ETH, IOST, TRX, HT, XTZ, XMR, BCH, BSV, STEEM, CKB, LTC, XRP, BEAM, MX, ATOM, RSR, XUC, XMX, PNT, SWFTC.
At the moment, only BTC, ETH, EOS, IOST, TRX, USDT are supported for deposits and withdrawals. More cryptocurrencies will be supported for deposits and withdrawals in due time.
