TP Courses11 — What Is a Blockchain Explorer?
The blockchain explorer is a search tool and an information retrieval website. Users can use the blockchain explorer to check transaction details including the address, transaction status, transaction hash, block hash, block height, transaction fee, gas limit and gas price, Token contract address, Token name, issuance, etc.
When will the blockchain explorer be used
1: Check the transfer status
When we fail to withdraw the coin/Token, we can enter the address or transaction hash of the coin/Token through the blockchain explorer to check the status of the block.
2: Check Token information
When you need to know a Token’s contract address, issuance, holders, official website, on-chain transfer records and other information, you can also check through the blockchain explorer.
3: Check address information
Blockchain is a transparent and open network, so, when you have a request to check an address information, you can enter the address to check related information in explorer, such as the counterparty’s transaction records and assets.
In conclusion, all data that users care about can be checked basically through the blockchain explorer, such as viewing block operation content, real-time gas price, the number of mainnet addresses, etc.
